What a sagging ceiling means
Drywall that sags or bubbles is holding water. Left in place it can drop without warning, so the section is released and drained in a controlled way, usually with a small relief cut and a catch container, before it is opened further.
Finding the source above
Water on a ceiling can come from a roof, an AC condensate drain, a supply pipe or a bathroom above. The team traces it with meters and thermal imaging, then ties the cleanup to the right fix, whether that is roof leak water damage or AC condensate leak water damage.
Drying the framing
- Wet insulation removed above the opening
- Joists and framing dried with air movers
- Wall tops checked where water ran down
- Moisture confirmed before paint goes on
Painting waits until readings confirm the cavity is dry.
